Carmarthen Golf Club is undoubtedly one of the premier golf courses in Carmarthenshire, having recently hosted the 2007 Mens and Ladies Welsh Team Championships. The club, which was first formed in 1907, is a well established members' club situated three miles or so up the slopes of the Gwili Valley from Carmarthen amid some of the choicest Welsh countryside. The new course at Rhydymarchog, designed by J H Taylor in 1928, is quite simply a rural delight and a much stiffer challenge than its length would suggest. The club celebrated its centenary in 2007.
Carmarthen offers a friendly and welcoming experience for all its visitors and members, both on the course and within our Clubhouse, which includes a magnificent lounge and dining area with clear views of some of Wales' best scenery.
The club is always striving to improve and the recent addition of a floodlit driving range has made Carmarthen Golf Club the envy of many with its superb practice and coaching facilities, further enhanced by the recent appointment of our new Director of Golf - Darren Griffiths.
Darren recently received the prestigious award of Welsh PGA Professional of the year 2008.
Darren has a dedicated team of staff who want to make sure that your experience of Carmarthen Golf Club is an enjoyable one. Darren and his team will be more than happy to help with any queries you may have whether you are a prospective new member or a visitor, so please don't hesitate to Contact us.
