Subject: CGC Newsletters
Dear CGC Directors,
Having recently re-joined the club following a sabbatical dictated by my business I am particularly impressed by the flow of carefully worded newsletters which are always thoughtful and thoroughly professional in style.
I fully recognise that the club I was a member of for 25 years during the 70’s and 80’s is a quite different commercial business model today. I take this opportunity to warmly congratulate those in positions of responsibility for the obvious care taken to tackle these huge decisions properly.
It is my 51st year in business and I am all too painfully aware of the fast moving nature of the commercial world today in contrast to my early days in business when time seemed to move very slowly. I dare say that the greatest challenge for the directors is the unfortunate aspect of human nature and that you can’t please ‘em all !!
I offer my fullest support to those leading the management of the club and encourage them to keep a steady hand on the tiller and not be swayed by the impatient. It will always be frustrating for those with seemingly endless time on their hands and unrealistic expectations of the club even during a global pandemic!!
I remain impressed with all aspects of the club I have re-joined and with Clive Coombes support I look forward to walking the fairways of Rhydymarchog again sometime this year.
